Hi,
My name is Jamie. I'm so excited write my first post. I'm a new member of Church for our Common Home, dedicated to the AWE, Art, Wisdom, and the Earth. This blog captures my interest in science and spirituality that intersect so meaningfully for me in this home church in San Diego California.
Today is Friday, June 8th where I am travelling in Hiroshima Japan with my wife Kaori and my nephew Pierce. I want to capture some of my experiences in Japan that I can share with friends, I'm new to blogging.
Let me start "tatami", beautiful traditional straw mats I think humans were born to live on.
Church for our Common Home wants to build a straw bale church and homes where we can live in an eco-village. I've lived on staw mat tatami pictured here. There is nothing better and more comfortable than tatami. So the idea of a house we build with our own hands surrounding us in straw comforts and me!
I attend the Straw Bale house workshop for one week starting Sept 30. I can't wait for this huge step to transform to a more ecological way of living.
Jamie
