Where shall we direct our intentions and energies for our Church in order to serve the greatest good?

On July 15, 2018 Church for our Common Home summoned a shared Dream incubation for guidance:

Where shall we direct our intentions and energies for our Church in order to serve the greatest good.

I furiously wrote many ideas that night and in the days following.  I offer some thoughts.  Hopefully, some guidance in dreams will also be revealed to me.

1. I want to work for the greater good that will not be realized in my lifetime, that contributes to the emergence of Omega.

2. ECO-FEMINISM - I envision a Church where members co-create and embody ancient mystic wisdom and new cosmology based on recovering the divine feminine through Art, Wisdom, and the Earth. I believe in a goal of healing the world through transformation of destructive domination-over culture in cartesian dualism to a new culture of Eco-feminism. Examples:  1. Create a ritual of species extinction based on a new theology of extinction. 2. Write music and plays celebrating the origin story of the big bang embracing both science and process theology. 3. Create curriculum teaching of eco-feminism through study of Mary Magdalene and eco-feminist writers. 4. I feel an appropriate theme for "Earthism" at Church for our Common Home for a new earth-centered world view (which I've heard Bonnie say many times): All life is sacred; Nature is alive; Humans are a part of the community of life.

3. ECO COMMUNITY - Co-create a loving eco-jesus community with goal that surpasses "sustainability", but strives for mutual enhancement of Earth for increased diversity of life.  For example we build a Straw Bale chapel and homes to co-create an intergenerational eco-community that encourages the co-evolution of 1,000 new species of life. A community where elders create a space for the young to learn and grow and co-create living in the new paradigm of an Earth centered community.

4. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES - A smaller amount of energy dedicated to loving enemies by confronting the people destroying the planet. Name and witness environmental collapse, racism, animal abuse and call the perpetrators to reconcile with victims by truth telling.

5. COVENANT - I reformulated my conception of Church from being an efficient enterprise with short term goals and projects to a loving church community that celebrates beauty, art and creativity and that builds relationships through honesty, integrity, and spontaneous fun. I want to feel a zest for life, harnessing the energies of love for God, so humans can for a second time discover fire (Teilhard de Chardin).

6. TREES - I would like to support Connie Barlow's vision of tree migration moving forests North to adapt to climate change.  Many trees in past ice ages had large animal herbivores to disperse seeds. Those seed dispersers are extinct. Examples for trees to migrate are California Joshua trees and Torrey pines.
