Dr. Marc Gafni, thank you for calling me into Evolutionary Family… I resonate so much to this code. Of course, my Evolutionary Family includes beloveds at One Mountain, Many Paths… Outrageous Lovers opening their hearts and letting evolution flow and self-organize a new humanity.

Up to now, I have mostly operated as a person of modern/rational consciousness. I perceive that space is static; time is linear; the external world is an inanimate objective reality; I achieve happiness by winning the game of life. My white/male privilege in the U.S. has made this game of win/lose metrics easy for me.

But ohhhhhh…. THE EMPTINESS

To me, the call to commit to a larger Evolutionary Family is also a call to change something inside me. It is a call to deepen more than just rational consciousness; it is a call to deepen a co-present, organic, non-rational consciousness. I keep all the modern rational advancements of science, of democracy, of empirical measurement of quantum reality.

And now, I'm learning from the Integral community about previous consciousness before the modern rational. I call on the magical consciousness of the Paleo-lithic; I call on the shaman's drum and chant my intentions.

In a tender and spontaneous ritual last week at the end of 2020, my evolutionary love family at One Mountain set intentions for 2021 to grow our evolutionary family. I sat in ritual to the beat of a shamanic drum. Normally, I might imagine other ancestors coming to be with me as separate selves. But instead, I felt another awareness. I felt the desire to feel a new co-present interior structure. I imagined an awareness permeable with my surroundings. I yearned on the inside of the inside to travel 20,000 years back inside my body. I keep my modern rationality but invite the ancient awareness to awaken in my soul root DNA.

Chanting and rhythm nurtures the ancient non-rational structure to deepen. I slowed down my busy mind. Integral means becoming transparent and fluid, so that the different structures of consciousness become alive to co-create. Wow... integrating past, present, and future; integrating interior and exterior.
